Dr Bruce Robertson

General Practitioner

MB.ChB, MRCGP(UK), FRACGP, Dip.RACOG
Dr Robertson brings over 20 years of GP experience, with special interests in men’s health, skin procedures, and chronic disease management.

He completed his fellowship training in the UK before relocating to Queensland, developing a broad skill set spanning acute illness, preventive care, and long-term disease management. Dr Robertson has a particular passion for men’s health — an area he believes is often under-serviced — and performs a wide range of skin procedures in-clinic. He is deeply committed to the Bushland Beach community and takes pride in building lasting relationships with his patients and their families.

Special Interests

Dr Diana Hopkins

General Practitioner

MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Hopkins is passionate about preventive health and women’s wellbeing, providing thorough, compassionate care for patients at all stages of life.

She believes that empowering patients with knowledge is just as important as treating illness, and she takes time to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly. Dr Hopkins sees patients from adolescence through to post-menopause, providing the continuity of care she considers the cornerstone of good general practice. Outside the clinic, she is actively involved in community health education and advocates strongly for regular cancer screening.

Special Interests

Dr Fiona Smith

General Practitioner

MBChB, DRCOG
Dr Smith has a keen interest in obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as general family practice. She takes a holistic, patient-centred approach.

Her Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists underpins her specialist knowledge in women’s reproductive health. Having worked in both hospital and community settings, she looks beyond the presenting symptom to understand the broader physical, emotional, and social factors affecting her patients. She is particularly experienced in antenatal care, contraception counselling, and paediatric consultations, making her a trusted choice for young families.

Special Interests

Dr Joel Bate

General Practitioner

BMed, FRACGP-RG, MMED(Crit care), AdvDipEM(ACEM)

His Advanced Diploma in Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and Master of Medicine in Critical Care mean he is exceptionally well-equipped to assess and manage complex or acute presentations in general practice. As a Rural Generalist fellow, his procedural scope extends well beyond standard GP training. He is passionate about keeping patients out of hospital through proactive assessment and management — bringing a level of acute care competence rarely seen in community practice.
